Gravois Bluffs: A Great Alternative To The
Malls
Christmas shopping in St. Louis like anywhere
else can be a wonderful experience if you enjoy crowded malls
and don't mind the hassle of searching out that precious parking
space. St. Louis has some of the newest and best shopping malls
in the country including the brand new West County Mall at
Manchester and I-270 and the upscale Plaza Frontenac located on
Lindbergh near I-64. There are malls in virtually every area of
the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Unlike many other large
cities, St. Louis even has a mall right in the middle of
downtown. St. Louis Centre is home to the two largest
department stores in town, Famous Barr and Dillards.
On the other hand if crowds tend to put a
damper on your holiday spirit Gravois Bluffs in Fenton offers a
great alternative. Located at Highway 141 and Gravois Road in
Fenton, MO this brand new shopping center occupies over 300
acres on both the east and west sides of Highway 141. Although
the developers of the shopping center say they are offering a
brand new retail concept to the area, Gravois Bluffs is more
like the large shopping centers that were the predecessors to
today's malls.
Gravois Bluffs has an overabundance of parking
spaces and regardless of what you are looking for, it should be
easy to find with the great selection of stores and specialty
shops. Some of the more well known tenants at Gravois Bluffs
include:
- Lowes
- Shop and Save
- Target
- Pier One Imports
- Wal-Mart
- Gordmans
- Petco
- Deal's Nothing Over a Dollar
- Factory 2 You
- Walgreen's
- Papa John's Pizza
- Red Robin Restaurant
- O'Charley's Restaurant and Bar
- First Community Credit Union
- Sonic Drive-In
- Smokey Joe's Barbecue
- Circuit City
Gravois Bluffs is the perfect shopping center
for those of us that just don't understand how fighting a crowd
can contribute to that wonderful holiday spirit that we all want
to enjoy this time of year. This concept of shopping from
years long gone just seems to make visiting your favorite stores
a little more enjoyable.
